Foz do Iguaçu is a year-round destination. In the summer months it may get very hot while in the winter temperatures can drop below 10oC. In the spring, rainfall tends to be heaviest.

Forming on Iguaçu River, the falls are an average height of 60 meters and 2700 meters wide while the actual number of falls varies from 275 to 150, depending on how full the river is.

Most of the falls are on the Argentine side but the best views are on the Brazilian side, so a visit is not complete without doing both.
