Visited by thousands everyday, the majestic Foz do Iguaçu falls are the widest in the world and located in Argentine and Brazilian territories. Forming on Iguaçu River, the falls are an average height of 60 meters and 2700 meters wide while the actual number of falls varies from 275 to 150, depending on how full the river is.
One of the most popular destinations in the country, it is never free of tourists, so don’t expect to be the only ones there. Most of the falls are on the Argentine side but the best views are on the Brazilian side, so a visit is not complete without doing both. A destination mainly for travellers who enjoy nature and the outdoors, activities are geared around the falls but there are also walks and lush nature to experience.
