It\u2019s a beautiful mission, that we truly admire!\u00a0\u00a0Brazil has several natural and cultural treasures considered world&#8217;s patrimony by UNESCO \u00a0and we are super proud of that, so we\u2019ve \u00a0decided to share some of them with you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Which one would you like to visit first?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1. Bras\u00edlia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brasilia was a landmark in the history of town planning. Urban planner Lucio Costa and celebrated architect Oscar Niemeyer intended that every element should be in harmony with the city\u2019s overall design. Not to mention the beautiful sunlight and natural landscape from cerrado (or brazilian savanna, as you wish), contrasting with the concrete.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/matuete.com\/wpmatuete\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bras.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"301\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14208\" alt=\"bras\" src=\"http:\/\/matuete.com\/wpmatuete\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bras.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2.\u00a0Historic Centre of Salvador de Bahia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brazil\u2019s first capital,\u00a0Salvador witnessed the blending of European, African and Amerindian cultures and it was also the first slave market in the new world.\u00a0The city has managed to preserve many outstanding Renaissance buildings and a remarkable\u00a0feature of the old town are the brightly coloured houses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/matuete.com\/wpmatuete\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sal.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14211\" alt=\"sal\" src=\"http:\/\/matuete.com\/wpmatuete\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sal.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a03.\u00a0Historic Centre of S\u00e3o Lu\u00eds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This historic town has preserved the original street plan in its entirety. An exceptional number of fine historic buildings have survived, making this an outstanding example of an Iberian colonial town. And not too far from S\u00e3o Luis, there&#8217;s Len\u00e7ois Maranhenses National Park which Unesco should seriously consider including\u00a0as a natural patrimony. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/matuete.com\/wpmatuete\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sao1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14121\" alt=\"sao1\" src=\"http:\/\/matuete.com\/wpmatuete\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sao1.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>4.\u00a0Rio de Janeiro: Carioca Landscapes between the Mountain and the Sea<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The site consists of an exceptional urban setting encompassing the key natural elements that have shaped and inspired the development of the city: from the highest points of the Tijuca National Park\u2019s mountains down to the sea. The islands are home to the largest concentration of tropical seabirds in the Western Atlantic. For thousands of years\u00a0these sites have served as refuge for several species and will be vital for maintaining the biodiversity of the Cerrado region during future climate fluctuations. It is home to many rare and endangered species, among them the giant otter and the giant anteater. The clouds of sprinkle jet\u00a0produced by the waterfall are conducive to the growth of lush vegetation.
