Do we need a VISA for Brazil? Can you help us expedite it?
R.: BRAZIL WORKS ON A “RECIPROCAL VISA POLICY”, WHICH MEANS IF BRAZILIANS NEED A VISA TO GO TO YOUR COUNTRY, YOU’LL NEED ONE TO COME IN AS WELL. THERE IS AN OFFICIAL LIST HERE WHICH MAY SEEM SCARY BUT IS VERY EASY – LOOK FOR YOUR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN ON THE LIST, AND SEE WHICH NUMBER IS UNDER THE 4TH COLUMN (VITUR), THEN GO BACK UP AND FIND OUT WHAT THAT NUMBER MEANS.
Is there flexibility in payment methods?
R.: We are looking into this, promise! But the restrictions come from the bureaucracies we need to attend, more so than anything. For commercial flights, specifically, we can issue through your credit card at no extra fee – this is because we issue those through an online system, differently from paying all our suppliers.
We can also accept credit cards to pay for the trip, if the arrival date is more than 60 days away, which is the length of time it takes for the card companies to approve a payment. If this is the case, beware that Brazilian law demands that we collect a copy of the card used for payment, front and back, as well as the card holder’s ID, all of this together with a beautiful authorization form we send out for you to fill in, sign, and send back to us.
Do you operate every single place in Brazil?
R.: Hopefully one day! For now, we choose to work with what we know and have seen and tested for ourselves. In some destinations we rely on great partner hotels to provide activities, such as Jericoacoara and Búzios for example.
Then why should I go there with you?
R.: We are glad you asked. First, it will cost you the same as if you were booking directly with the hotel, but we save you the time to do so. Second, and most importantly, our services range from the basic to the “wow”, and we trust that you will want to be back for the “wow’s”.
What if I want to keep my presence in Brazil “low-pro”?
R.: There is an implicit confidentiality agreement with our travelers that we can make to be explicit as well (a formal contract). We would give you a referral list here from past travelers, but… 😉
How much information will you need from me?
R.: Don’t be shy, the more the merrier! But there are mainly two different types of trips, and this is divided by whether or not you’re going somewhere remote with us such as the Amazon, Lençois Maranhenses, Chapada National Parks – and we hope you are! For those types of trips, having information such as health insurance, dietary preferences/restrictions, physical conditions and so on, is mandatory.
Can I get a hard copy of the digital travel plan?
R.: Well yes, you can. It will be delivered to you inside the country when you have the first contact with our services, most often in the transfer from the airport to the hotel, or at the hotel itself.
Do you have bilingual guides in other languages than English?
R.: YES, SI, OUI, JA, SÌ, 是的, ДА. IN KEY DESTINATIONS SUCH AS RIO DE JANEIRO, IGUASSU FALLS, SALVADOR, SÃO PAULO, BRASÍLIA AND A FEW OTHERS, IF ASKING WITH ENOUGH TIME IN ADVANCE WE DO HAVE GREAT GUIDES FLUENT IN OTHER LANGUAGES.
Do you help with travel insurance?
R.: As travel insurance has a lot to do with the country’s own regiments, we see that you’ll be better protected if booking directly.
PDF for our policies
R.: Here is a PDF of our terms and policies, which may clear out a few other questions you may have as well. This text is also inserted in the formal proposal document we sent for your approval before booking the trip, so you’ll have this handy.
